Syracuse basketball recently gave 2023 power forward G.G. Jackson his first offer, but many more will come in.

Syracuse basketball earlier this month extended an offer to talented 2023 power forward G.G. Jackson – his first offer in fact.

However, multiple other high-major teams have since followed the Orange’s lead, and the 6-foot-8, 210-pound Jackson should see tons more offers pour in as his recruitment heats up.

Fellow Atlantic Coast Conference members Clemson, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest have doled out scholarship offers to Jackson, according to his Twitter page and a review of the primary recruiting services.

Jackson, a rising sophomore at Ridge View High School in Columbia, S.C., has also received an offer from South Carolina, a Southeastern Conference crew that made the 2017 Final Four.

Per media reports and his bio on the 247Sports Web site, other squads to hold interest in Jackson include Mike Hopkins-led Washington, ACC group Georgia Tech, and Empire State unit Buffalo.

The bevy of main recruiting Web sites haven’t yet released individual rankings for high-school players in the 2023 class, but from what I’ve read Jackson should ultimately prove a four-star, top-100 prospect nationally in his recruiting cycle.

G.G. Jackson, a 2023 power forward, got his first offer from Syracuse basketball but has obtained other strong ones, too.

It also won’t come as a surprise in the least if near-term offers arrive for Jackson from additional squads in the ACC and SEC, as well as from other Power 5 leagues.

That Syracuse basketball has gotten in early with this intriguing player is an encouraging sign for the Orange. Jackson is described as athletic, has great size and length, and competes with physicality.

He runs the floor and rebounds extremely well, the latter of which is a welcomed and much-needed skill in the ‘Cuse 2-3 zone, and Jackson will keep on enhancing his shooting and ball-handling, recruiting experts say.

Within the 2023 cycle, the recruiting process is early on for high-school players and Syracuse basketball coaches. Besides Jackson, the Orange has offered elite wing Elijah Fisher and point guard Aden Holloway, with the ‘Cuse coaching staff reportedly taking an interest in several other 2023 targets at this juncture.

For my money, Jackson is a gem. This article on him from Patrick O’Brien of the Phenom Hoop Report gives us an indication that Jackson boasts confidence, but he is humble and eager to work hard on his craft. I hope to see Jackson don a Syracuse basketball uniform in the future.
