By Neil Adler
Pro Football Network has published its latest 2021 NFL mock draft, and Syracuse football safety Andre Cisco is slotted near the end of the second round.
Syracuse football junior safety Andre Cisco is getting a lot of pre-season All-American accolades ahead of the 2020 campaign, and there is also substantial chatter about him as it pertains to next year’s NFL Draft.
Pro Football Network recently unveiled its 2021 NFL mock draft for the first two rounds, and Cisco just made the cut within the top-64 picks.
The 6-foot, 206-pound Cisco is forecast to get selected at No. 62 by the Baltimore Ravens, which by the way is my hometown team. Baltimore dominated the NFL’s last regular season but then unfortunately got upset in the playoffs by Tennessee.
Over the years, the Ravens have carved out a strong reputation as a defensive force in the NFL, and Cisco would make a tremendous addition to the Baltimore defense.
The current Football Bowl Subdivision leader with 12 career interceptions, Cisco was also recently arranged as the No. 3 safety as far as the 2021 NFL Draft is concerned by Michael Renner, lead draft analyst for Pro Football Focus.
Syracuse football safety Andre Cisco should contend for All-American honors in the 2020 stanza.
Lindy’s Sports, a long-time magazine and Web site providing college football coverage, has named Cisco the sport’s top safety as part of its 2020 preview edition.
A member of the 2018 Associated Press All-American third team as a true freshman, Cisco is on the watch list for the 2020 Lott IMPACT Trophy, a national defensive player of the year award that recognizes athletic performance and personal character.
Additionally, he is on Street & Smith’s pre-season All-American first team, despite getting snubbed by the Walter Camp pre-season All-American first and second squads.
It will prove interesting to see how Cisco fares in the Orange’s 3-3-5 system under new defensive coordinator Tony White. Should Cisco compile another All-American term in 2020, he will undoubtedly find himself on a lot of mock boards as the 2021 NFL Draft inches closer.
