Class of 2020 and four star center Frank Anselem is set to announce his decision on Wednesday. A lot of signs currently point to Syracuse basketball as the likely destination.

The fight for Frank Anselem continues and currently Syracuse basketball is at the forefront of the four teams the big man is choosing between.

Anselem announced his decision to pick his collegiate team on his Twitter account:

According to college basketball reporter Adam Zagoria, his list has also shrunk to just four teams. With Arkansas out of the running, the Orange will be competing with San Diego State, Georgia, and New Mexico. Western Kentucky was also previously in the running, as the Lobos replaced the Hilltoppers.

However, one interesting tidbit is that Evan Daniels, the Director of Basketball Reporting at 247Sports, recently predicted Anselem to choose Syracuse. This is a very welcome sight, considering Daniels is one of the top recruiting experts in all of college basketball.

The biggest thing about Anselem, is well, his size. At 6-foot-10, 220 pounds, Anselem would undoubtedly be a fantastic addition on a Syracuse team with some fairly skinny bigs in Marek Dolezaj and Bourama Sidibe.

In addition, both Dolezaj and Sidibe are seniors, meaning that the Orange could also use a big man for the future. Jesse Edwards and John Bol Ajak are the other two centers on the ‘Cuse roster, but it’s never a bad idea to bring in a third for the future, especially given Anselem’s potential outweighs them both.

Even though a lot of signs indicate Syracuse as his likely suitor, the Georgia, New Mexico, and San Diego State are still very good options and thus tough competition. The Aztecs were one of the top teams in the country last season and Tom Crean has the ability to create stars out of players. New Mexico is an interesting choice, but they have a good basketball program and can’t be taken lightly.

While Anselem didn’t announce a time for his decision on Wednesday, all Syracuse basketball fans will be glued to their social media accounts to see if he does in fact pick the Orange.
