Amani Bartlett, a talented forward from Texas, has committed to Syracuse women’s basketball.

The Syracuse women’s basketball 2021 class has landed a fourth premier player in forward Amani Bartlett, who revealed via Twitter on Sunday that she has selected the Orange as her collegiate destination.

The athletic and long Bartlett, who attends Houston Christian High School in Houston, had previously committed to long-time women’s hoops powerhouse Tennessee, according to a report from CuseNation.com’s Michael McAllister.

Per McAllister, the 6-foot-3 Bartlett picked Syracuse over other finalists including Houston, fellow Atlantic Coast Conference member Florida State, LSU, Oklahoma, SMU, Tennessee, and Texas A&M.

In the Orange’s 2021 recruiting cycle, besides Bartlett, the ‘Cuse recently secured commitments from a pair of high-school teammates.

Those colleagues at the Crestwood Secondary School in Ontario, Canada, are five-star forward Latasha Lattimore, No. 11 in the 2021 class according to HoopGurlz ratings, and four-star point guard Shayeann Day-Wilson, No. 73 in that class.

Additionally, four-star guard Nyah Wilson, No. 85 in the espnW 100 rankings, agreed in mid-April to don a Syracuse uniform as the initial commitment in the Orange’s now-loaded 2021 class.

Amani Bartlett is a top-60 player in the 2021 class per two different recruiting services.

One of the best players in Texas throughout the class of 2021, Bartlett is not presently rated by espnW, although previously she was a top-40 prospect prior to an injury that she unfortunately suffered, McAllister notes.

Regardless, it’s clear that Bartlett boasts some serious skills. The Premier Basketball Report, for one, ranks her at No. 54 overall in the 2021 class, and Blue Star slots Bartlett at No. 34 nationally, writes McAllister.

The ‘Cuse currently possesses one five-star player and three four-star prospects in its 2021 cycle, which is undeniably impressive. That comes after Syracuse is welcoming in a stellar 2020 class which docks at No. 4 across the country.

In that particular cycle, the Orange is the sole squad nationwide to have two recruits within the top 10 of the HoopGurlz ratings. They are five-star post Kamilla Cardoso, at No. 5, and five-star guard Priscilla Williams, at No. 9.

It’s an understatement to say that the ‘Cuse has evolved into one of the finest programs in women’s college basketball as it pertains to recruiting. Welcome to the family, Amani!
