Andrew White III

Sticking with the 2016-17 squad, Andrew White was the most prolific scorer and he shined. And just like John Gillon, White was a journeyman in his college career and played for three teams. He is a rarity and played in three of the most challenging conferences in the nation.

In his freshman season, he started playing for Kansas but didn’t see much action. He stuck around for his sophomore year but left to go elsewhere. In 2015 he made a move to play for Nebraska, and that is when he displayed his skills at the collegiate level.

Andrew White III, Nebraska stats:

  • 16.6 points per game
  • 5.9 rebounds per game
  • 48% from the field

With the Cornhuskers, White put his name on the map after playing two seasons at Kansas with limited experience. In his last season of eligibility, White made the choice to leave Nebraska and join ‘Cuse in 2016.

Once he arrived on the Hill, it was evident that he had the keys to the offense and flourished.

Andrew White III, Syracuse stats:

  • 18.5 points per game
  • 4.6 rebounds per game
  • 1.6 steals per game
  • 44% from the field

In his four seasons playing college ball, he improved immensely from riding the bench to starting every game in his ACC career. For ‘Cuse, White averaged 37 minutes per contest. In that action, he led the team in scoring by over five points. Second, on the squad was Tyler Lydon.
