Right when you think they might be dead, here comes the Orange.

Syracuse played arguably their best game of the season on Wednesday against Pittsburgh and now fans are wondering if there is still one last chance at March Madness. My answer is yes!

The Orange needs to win their final three games of the regular season against North Carolina, Boston College, and Miami, which isn’t too much to ask for! This team has now been playing must-win games the past couple of weeks, so they used to the pressure of playing these important games.

So as the Orange prepares for North Carolina, Jim Boeheim must be a little upset at the timing of this matchup. The Tar Heels have been pretty bad this year, but as of late they have been playing pretty good.

Cole Anthony is back from his injury and when he is on the court, North Carolina is a totally different team. If Syracuse and UNC matched up in early January, I would think that the Orange might win by 20, but this is going to be a hard game. Despite having a bad year, it’s NEVER easy to beat North Carolina. They still have one of the best programs and coaches in the country in Roy Williams.

With that being said, Syracuse absolutely needs this game, and I think they will find a way. The Tar Heels haven’t seen a zone like this all season, so I expect this young team to struggle. If Syracuse can rebound the basketball successfully, they will be fine.

FINAL SCORE
SYRACUSE 75 NORTH CAROLINA 67
