Syracuse Basketball plays its 29th game of the season versus North Carolina Saturday afternoon. Inside The Loud House tells you how to watch and listen to the game.

Syracuse basketball played one of their better games of the season last game at Pittsburgh in a 72-49 rout. The Orange are 16-12 now overall on the season and are hoping to pick up a few more wins before the regular season ends. Up next is an opponent the Orange have really struggled with in the past: North Carolina (UNC).

North Carolina is not the team they have been in the past. Their season has been ruined by injuries and inconsistency, leading to an 11-17 record, which means this is the first time in a while that the Orange really has a chance to beat North Carolina.

In fact, according to Orangehoops.org, a win on Saturday for the Orange would be their first versus UNC since their first game against them in ACC play in 2014 when Tyler Ennis and Co. were still around. That’s an eight-game losing streak; many of which were not that close.

So what should we expect?

Well for starters, we should expect a tough game. Just because North Carolina’s record is bad doesn’t mean they’re not a good team. The almost beat Duke a few games ago and can still rebound the ball very well. In addition, they are well-coached by Roy Williams. This is not a team that is going to back down. If anything, they play up to the level of the competition, which means Syracuse needs to play a smart game and not take UNC for granted.

Syracuse, on the other hand, may have some motivation as the home crowd will probably be pretty large because it North Carolina, and it’s the last men’s basketball game for Syracuse basketball before renovations begin on the Carrier Dome. So Syracuse has a lot to play for other than picking up another win in ACC play.
