Syracuse Basketball plays its 27th game of the season versus Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon. Inside The Loud House tells you how to watch and listen to the game.

Syracuse basketball had there bubble popped last game against Louisville in what really was their last shot to earn an at-large bid to get into the NCAA Tournament. It was a long shot even with a win, but a win against a ranked team would have at least given the Orange a chance. Now sitting at 14-12, the Orange go back home to the Dome to take on equally mediocre Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon.

The last time these two teams met this season, the Syracuse basketball team routed the Yellow Jackets on the road. After that game, the Orange looked poised to have a good season, and for a few more games it was. The Orange would win a few straight before losing multiple games on the road again to fall to 14-12 overall and 7-8 in the ACC, according to ESPN.com.

Now, the Orange are barely better overall than Georgia Tech (13-13, 7-8 ACC) who has actually pieced together a couple of straight wins lately including an upset over Louisville; a team the Orange just got trounced by last game. In other words, the Orange shouldn’t expect this to be as easy a game as it was last time around.

So what should we expect?

Well for starters, we should expect this team to still give their all in front of the hometown fans. They know this town lives and breathes Syracuse basketball and Jim Boeheim certainly won’t let them quit. These last few games, if nothing else, are reps for next season.

This team is young with lots of underclassman. This is the time to focus on working as a team, because there shouldn’t be much turnover next year. It will be mostly the same group, so it’s up to them to figure out what’s works best and start finding those answers now, even if it feels too late to do it for this season.

In addition, with possibly only a few more games left in Elijah Hughes Syracuse career sure a possible jump to the NBA next season, these last few games Elijah Hughes might want to impress scouts and light up the box score. So we can expect him to play a huge role in this game on both sides of the ball as well as the next few too.

Lastly, we should expect Joe Girard and Quincy Guerrier to continue to thrive. Girard seems to have finally figured out how to raise his hands to the ACC level. He may not be shooting out lights out yet or be super consistent, but he’ll get there. He’s already showing signs of being a star next season.

Guerrier on the other hand has been a double-double machine off late, racking up tough rebounds, and scoring with ease around the hoop. Sure, he’s still raw, but the talent and potential are evident and he’s starting to blossom right before our eyes. So expect both to be huge factors in this game if the game is close down the stretch.

The good news is that unlike the last two games, Florida State and Louisville, the Orange are actually expected to win this game. Though there’s not much on the line, there is still the pride of defending home court and winning in front of the hometown fans. Here’s how the margin looks according to the Action Network:
