Here is our full report card for every former Syracuse football player after Week 2 of the XFL season. Here are the full details.

The XFL is rocking and rolling with Week 2 already in the books. Here’s how all the former Syracuse football players performed and what’s next for these guys next weekend.

Eric Dungey, quarterback, Dallas Renegades

The former Syracuse football quarterback was listed as second-string Week 1 for the Dallas Renegades. Shortly after the game, it was revealed that Dungey was placed on the “reserve/left the squad list”.

Long story short, Eric was released from the team but will return Week 3 to the Renegades roster. Dungey released a statement on social media citing “family reasons” as to why he had to leave the XFL so abruptly.

Although when he returns he’ll likely be stuck as the third-string quarterback at best behind Philip Nelson, Landry Jones, and possibly even Brogan Roback (who was only added due to Eric’s absence).

While he was away the Dallas Renegades snagged its first win of the season vs the LA Wildcats, 25-18.

Jay Bromley, defensive tackle, DC Defenders

It’s still early, but the DC Defenders appear to be the best team in the entire XFL after two weeks of play. In Week 2, the Defenders won in convincing fashion, 27-0, vs the New York Guardians.

It’s no coincidence that Jay Bromley had his best game in an XFL uniform. Jay secured a sack (for an 11-yard loss), had two tackles for loss, and three combined tackles overall.

Shamarko Thomas, safety, DC Defenders

Shamarko Thomas is a reserve safety for the Defenders and he finally made some plays on the gridiron. He recorded two tackles (one assisted) and was involved in a bench-clearing brawl.

After the play appeared over Shamarko was looking to create some contact and he did, but at a cost. Thomas ended up drawing the 15-yard personal foul penalty. As we know in football the first guy never gets the flag, it’s always the second guy.

Jordan Martin, free safety, Seattle Dragons

Finally, the Seattle Dragons were able to get its first win in franchise history at Century Link Field. According to the broadcast, the Dragons had over 30,000 screaming fans behind them and that proved the difference. Seattle ended up winning 17-9 over the Tampa Bay Vipers.

Martin secured two tackles and he continues to maintain his starting job on the Dragons defense. Seattle is certainly a team to watch.

Andrew Tiller, offensive line, Tampa Bay Vipers

Speaking of the Vipers, they may very well be the worst team in the XFL. Fortunately, you can’t blame former Syracuse football offensive lineman Andrew Tiller for the team’s woes.

He’s not expected to return to the field this season for Tampa Bay after enduring an injury during camp. Back in early February, he was placed on injured reserve by the Vipers.
