Syracuse Basketball plays its 25th game of the season versus Florida State Saturday afternoon. Inside The Loud House tells you how to watch and listen to the game.

Syracuse basketball has been shaky at best lately. They had a five game winning streak, lost a close game on the road at Clemson, lost at home to a superior a Duke team, barely got by a pathetic Wake Forest team, and then lost once a close one again without star Elijah Hughes at home versus NC State last game.

At 14-10 overall, and considering this recent stretch of games, one could easily see and agree that this Syracuse basketball team needs a big win. The Orange are hoping that comes against a top 10 ranked Florida State on the road Saturday afternoon.

A win would be a monumental achievement this late in the season and would definitely be a nice thing to show for their NCAA tournament resume. Syracuse basketball’s chances are extremely thin, but not impossible. A win versus the Seminoles would go a long way towards saving their season.

Florida State though has yet to lose at home this season, so it truly would be a huge upset. Syracuse will have to shoot the lights out to keep up and play just week enough on defense to really have a chance in this one.

So what should we expect?

Well Orange fans and the team alike are hoping Elijah Hughes can not only play, but come back and have a huge game, because they’ll need him to desperately to win this game. His leadership, his ability to hit shots, to pass the ball well, and to spread the floor make him the most vital person Syracuse has on the team. It’s his job to make life easier for his teammates and so far he’s done that. If he can have a huge game, the Orange’s chances of the upset are much higher.

The Orange will need Joe Girard to have another masterful game scoring and leading this team to spell Hughes (if he plays). If JG3 can play well, that could help give an advantage to the Orange in this one. His ability to create shots, and put everything out on the court makes him dangerous for any team to face, so let’s hope he shows one of his better performances on the road  versus the Seminoles.

Sure, Florida State can probably score and defend at will with their tall bigs inside. But if the Orange can hit their jumpers and threes from the perimeter, then they’ll have a chance late to win it.

The Orange are not favored to win this game, but a win would be huge. Here’s how the margin looks according to Action Network:
