Syracuse is hoping to become the fourth team since 2016 to beat Florida State at home. Wait what?

That’s right the Seminoles are 61-3 at The Tucker Center in the last 4.5 years. For context, the Duke Blue Devils during that same span have lost twice as many games at Cameron Indoor.

Florida State is stupid good this season and on top of being talented, they have a huge bench. FSU has 10 players that average at least 10 minutes per game. It’s almost like the complete opposite of Jim Boeheim.

Despite all these impressive statistics, FSU isn’t invincible.

They are a streaky shooting team. For example, in its last game vs Duke on earlier this week, FSU shot 3-of-18 from distance. That’s the blueprint to an Orange victory.

If the 2-3 zone (which is average at best this year) can keep the Seminoles from attacking inside and force them to shoot outside shots, then perhaps Syracuse can pull off the massive upset.

Whether or not Elijah Hughes plays or not, I expect Syracuse to be much more prepared with days of practice.

This is a must-win game for the Orange and for FSU it’s just another game, their position is secure. Considering all of that, Syracuse will lead an inspired effort and will snag its biggest win of the season.
