Syracuse basketball faces off against Florida State on Saturday in a pivotal ACC clash. Here are the top 5 questions ahead of this matchup

Before you enjoy the next Syracuse basketball game vs Florida State, there are several things you need to know. We spoke with the folks over at Chop Chat this week, they’re our FanSided sister network that covers everything Seminoles related.

We asked five key questions ahead of this matchup: home-court advantage, bench depth, FSU’s ability to hit deep, how different the team is this year compared to last year, and finally a prediction.

1. Florida State is undefeated at home so far this season, what makes FSU’s home venue so special? How hostile should Syracuse expect it to be?

"“FSU has been ridiculously good at home over the past few years as they’ve posted a 61-3 record at the Tucker Center since 2016. There’s nothing particularly special, but the venue was renovated in 2014 and seats around 12-13,000. Coincidentally, the football team has gone downhill while the basketball team has risen in this time frame so I suppose Nole fans have been looking for anything positive to support! For whatever reason, the team seems to thrive there with them vibing off the crowd and vice-versa. The game sold out last week and it should be a packed house with a crowd that can make it extremely tough to play.”"

2. FSU is known for its depth and it seems like this year is no different. How deep does Leonard Hamilton go on his bench and who are some of the names to watch out for?

"“Yes, this team is deep like a typical Leonard Hamilton team of the past few years. There are 10 players who average at least 10 minutes or more per game. Devin Vassell and Trent Forrest are the two most consistent players each game with former five-star Patrick Williams starting to come into his own as of late. M.J. Walker is inconsistent but can catch fire out of nowhere and do damage.”"
