Syracuse really needed a win on the road at Clemson before battling Duke last Saturday. They didn’t get it.

As a result, they have now lost two in a row and are 13-9 on the season. There are still lots of easier wins available down the stretch in a weaker ACC this year, but the Orange need to capitalize and win the games they should win.

They cannot afford many more losses if they have any dream whatsoever of being invited to match Madness this year. Wake Forest is a game the Orange should win. Wake is not a great team this year. They have a decent inside presence with their tall bigs, but that’s about it.

If the Orange offense can finally wake up again at home, then they should win this game with some ease.

We should expect Elijah Hughes to find his stroke again after two not so great games shooting the ball and for Bourama Sidibe and Marek Dolezaj to have bounce-back games after dealing with foul trouble in the last few. If they can find a way to score at home and put the last two losses behind them after a week off then I feel good about their chances. I see Syracuse winning 77-63.
