Syracuse Basketball plays its 21st game of the season against Clemson Tuesday night. Inside The Loud House tells you how to be able to watch and listen to the game.

Syracuse basketball has been on a huge winning streak lately. Winners of their last five, including most recently at home versus Pittsburgh, the Orange have avenged all their conference losses at home (Virginia, Notre Dame, and Virginia Tech) by beating those teams on their floors instead.

Now, Syracuse basketball must travel to Little John Coliseum to take on Clemson on Tuesday night: a team that should not be taken lightly regardless of their record.

The win over the Tigers would put the Orange at an unbelievable 7-3 in ACC play, 14-7 overall, and 5-0 on the road in conference. That would be crazy considering the Orange were 8-7 overall and 1-3 in ACC play before this winning streak.

Much like Syracuse, Clemson is a very balanced team. They are good in a lot of areas, but at times lose offensive rhythm and struggle to hold leads. Sounds familiar? Overall, they are not having a great year by any standards and are at best a middle of the pack team in a conference.

Clemson’s record indicates their a cellar-dweller ACC team, but wins over Duke, NC State, and an awful North Carolina team on the road tell a different story. They can play up to the level of the competition, which should make Syracuse very nervous, especially with Duke on the horizon on Saturday. In other words, this game versus the Tigers on the road has all the makings of a trap game.

Following wins over Virginia, Boston College, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, and Pittsburgh, this Syracuse basketball team is flying high right now and need to keep that momentum to win on the road versus a pesky Clemson team that will not go away quietly. The Orange really wants to avoid a semi-bad loss here if they can because, at this point, an NCAA tournament bid is finally within reach again. All they got to do is go out and get it.

So what should we expect?

Well for starters, the Orange should expect Clemson to give us all that got. Defensively the Tigers are very sound, and can be very physical, making it hard for teams to score at times. The Orange will need to continue to try and score in the paint as they have done so well in recent games, rather than settle time and time again for threes when nothing seems available.

Sure the Orange can shoot three’s well, but their focus on only shooting the three was why the offense struggled so much to open the season. If they can continue to find other shots, even in a game like this where it’s hard to get good looks inside our drive the basketball, then the Orange will be in good shape to win this game and many others going forward.

The Tigers have struggled to rebound the basketball this season, something SU has struggled with but is now showing huge signs of improvement. They have outrebounded each of their last four opponents by a good margin. That fear is sort of incredible considering Syracuse basketball has hardly any notable height/size inside this season outside of Bourama Sidibe.

What that means is players like Elijah Hughes, Quincy Guerrier, and Marek Dolezaj have all been actively seeking defensive rebounds which have given Syracuse more possessions and chances to win. It should come as no surprise then that Syracuse has favored better in recent games.

In this game, we should expect Buddy Boeheim and Elijah Hughes to once again have big games, especially from the outside, after a horrible shooting performance at home versus Pittsburgh.

Both will want to get back on track and make shots to keep the defense honest. If they can but their shots outside it will open up lanes to drive to the rim or take shots from the foul line area. The ability to hit shots from both areas has been key in this winning streak and will need to continue at Clemson of the Orange want to keep the good times rolling.
