The Syracuse basketball season officially begins now, and they have work to do. The ACC schedule will start on Saturday with their matchup against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Syracuse has had the last week off to find themselves and try to grasp the amazing run they will need to go on if they want to be in the NCAA Tournament.

Notre Dame is always a tough opponent for Syracuse.

They always have a lot of good shooters, smart players who play good defense, and a coach who knows how to get efficiency out of his players. Now if Jim Boeheim taught his team how to play man to man defense, I think they would have a better chance to win.

However, they play 2-3 zone every day of the year, and this is the year their zone is pretty bad. Notre Dame will have a field day in the Carrier Dome on Saturday on offense. Mike Brey has always had success against Syracuse and he will add onto that after Saturday’s game.

FINAL SCORE
Notre Dame 72 SYRACUSE 65
