Unfortunately, this year has been somewhat of a hangover year. Coming off of last year’s big season some of the Orange faithful had dreams of grandeur that well have not panned out and we are on our way to best-case scenario five-win season, half of the last year’s total. There have been glimpses of promise over the past three games.

After shifting some of the players around the Orange, for the most part, have been able to keep Tommy DeVito’s uniform clean and a semblance of a pocket.

Playcalling has improved (in some cases) and we have got our running game going.
The defense has shown flashes of competency holding Duke to six points and playing tough.
This will be Dino’s first graduating class of 22 seniors and may be his last. College football is all about results and frankly, Dino has not lived up to his part of the bargain.

The team needs to put a complete game together and win this one for themselves.

Wake Forest comes in with eight wins, the ESPN Matchup Predictor favorite at 57.9% and a 3.5 point favorite. The only surprise here is that the numbers are not more skewed in the Deacons’ favor. Wake’s offense is averaging 33 points and 464 yards per game second only to Clemson in the ACC. The only bright spot is that their defense gives up a lot of yards both passing and rushing.

Enough of that it is time to get onto the prediction; we need to play this game for our Seniors and send them out with not only a win but with a full Dome in appreciation of them battling out for the Orange faithful the past four campaigns. Make sure that Wake knows that not only is this Our House but it is the Loud House. I predict the Orange will win this game 42-39. As always Be Loud, Be Proud, Be ORANGE!
