1. There’s a brand new head coach at the top for the Cardinals in Scott Satterfield, how different is the culture and morale of this team from 2018 to 2019?
The culture at Louisville has been a complete 180 since the dismissal of Bobby Petrino after the Syracuse game last season. Gone are the days of players no longer having to deal with things like not having access to the coach on a regular basis, not being able to operate without fear of being reprimanded as an example, not having any sort of personal or on-field relationship with an entire staff, as well as losing football games.
Scott Satterfield promised when he took the job that he would build program built on relationships, family, effort, fun and most importantly winning – and so far it’s paid off big time.
Satterfield has taken a team that was broken and has built them up and empowered them to believe that as long as they work hard and give their brothers and team all they have that they will be successful and he’s proven to be a genius. So far Louisville sits at 6-4 and has accomplished more than anyone would have ever thought. The morale of the Louisville program may even be at it’s highest and it’s evident after each game won in the locker room. Hell, even after loses this team regroups, puts in the effort on the field and in the meeting rooms, and they come out the following week and play much better football.
Unlike last season, Louisville is tough. They won’t back down from anyone or any team and they do really believe that they are able to play and beat anyone in the country.
