This game is different than any other game this season. Frankly, there is only one key item that will determine if the Orange are able to win on Saturday.

And no it isn’t the offensive line holding up (although that would be nice). I am sure that Tommy DeVito wouldn’t mind a break from the pounding that he has received this year or from the FCS leading number of times he has been sacked.

No, this game will come down to the Orange defense and their ability to stop the run.

The Eagles are without their Junior QB Anthony Brown who was lost for the season and his replacement, Dennis Grosel, is very green and far from a four-star recruit. What is working in the Eagles favor is their tandem at running backs.

This key is not a secret but if we are able to execute we will win. Stop the run. AJ Dillon and David Bailey. This pair ran for over 400 yards against NC State. Stack the box, stop the run and win the game. Period.

The Orange defense has not been the reason for ‘Cuse’s failure to reproduce wins like last year but they will have a chance this game to take over the game and bring home the W.

Onto the prediction.

This game is just what the doctor ordered. We have one job this week. Stop the RUN. Get it done and we win the game.  Easier said than done but I believe! I predict the Orange will win this game 35-21.  As always Be Loud, Be Proud, Be ORANGE!
