The Syracuse football team is desperate for a win now more than ever.

The season already feels over after a 3-5 start, but technically a bowl game is still within reach if they win three of their next four. Unfortunately, that is a tall order considering the Orange have yet to beat a Power-Five Team this year and all their remaining opponents are exactly that.

Syracuse will have to dig deep this week and find out if they are still fighting or if they have already given up on this season. Seeing offensive lineman Ryan Alexander quit a week ago might be a crack in the foundation and the rest of the team is just about to throw in the towel as well.

I’m hoping for the latter though, and that Syracuse still has some fight left in it. I think the Orange come out and do well at home and finally pick up a win, their first in a while, on a Boston College team mostly just relying on their running game.

If the Orange can win one, hopefully, that will have a domino effect and help the team qualify for a bowl game of at least get close to it, providing momentum going into next year when they start with a clean slate and lower expectations. I see the Orange lead by a decent showing from DeVito and a stout defense to hold on in a defensive game 24-21.
