To put it bluntly, this season has sucked.

Syracuse was supposed to be really good, but they’ve been trash. There’s no legitimate reason that the Orange should be considered a favorite against anyone. Yet here we are, Syracuse is favored over BC.

I had to understand why.

After looking at the numbers, BC doesn’t have their starting quarterback who got injured and the Eagles can rush the passer.

The Eagles passing game is atrocious and they don’t look to the air often. Which makes their offense one-dimensional, a very good one-dimension that is.

AJ Dillon is one of only five running backs in college football to break through the 1,000-yard plateau this season through just eight games.

While the other big nugget is a weakness vs a weakness. Syracuse can’t protect the quarterback and BC can’t sack the quarterback. Who wins this pillow fight, may very well win this game.

Syracuse finds a way to snatch victory out of the jaws of defeat. The Orange win 30-17.
