Syracuse football will open their biggest game of the season vs Clemson in Week 3. Before you head out to the dome, here’s the full itinerary.
In one of the most highly anticipated ACC matchups of the college football season, Syracuse football will get the rubber match vs the Clemson Tigers.
Before we get there, the Syracuse football team sent out a press release with all the GameDay itinerary details.
Right off the get-go at 7 a.m. the Orange Central shuttles from Skytop begins. If you’re bringing your own vehicles, the parking lots won’t open for the football game until 3 p.m.
On top of the football entertainment which is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m., the University is hooking fans up with the top off the field entertainment leading up to kickoff:
- 3 to 6:30 p.m. will feature Country Swagg who will be performing at Skytop.
- ‘Cuse on the Quad opens’ at 4:00 p.m. and National recording artist Eric Chesser will perform.
- AFCA Trophy with host and Syracuse University football All-American Dwight Freeney.
When you’re sick of the entertainment and you’re ready for some football all of the Dome gates open at 5:30 p.m.
‘Showtime in the Dome’ starts at 7:05 p.m.
This special presentation will feature a performance by the University marching band. The playing of the national anthem and of course the entrance of the Syracuse football team out of the tunnel.
All of that action will lead us to the actual football game between the Orange and the Clemson Tigers at 7:30 p.m.
Although the fun doesn’t stop at kickoff, throughout the game, there will be special moments you’ll want to be looking out for.
2019 marks the 50th anniversary of Syracuse’s lone National Championship team back in 1959.
At the end of the first quarter, the Orange will honor and continue our Hometown Hero celebration.
While the final nugget is at halftime the long-overdue jersey retirement of Syracuse’s All-Time sack leader Tim Green will commence.
The Syracuse football press release also wanted to share some gameday tips with Orange fans who plan on attending the game in person as well:
- Arrive early to avoid traffic delays.
- Dome gates open at 5:30 pm.
- Fans who do not have a parking permit are invited to use the Manley Field House and Skytop parking lots ($20 per car), with the shuttle service starting at 4 pm. To access the Skytop parking lot, use Rt. 481 and exit at Brighton Ave.
Ride-Sharing: Two drop off locations:
- Corner of University Place and South Crouse Avenue, at the base of Crouse College.
- NEW LOCATION: Van Buren Street, between Henry Street and Stadium Place, in the circle outside of Brewster Hall.
Security measures:
- Syracuse University uses the Clear Bag Policy.
- Security screening is utilized at every gate via walkthrough metal detectors.
