Syracuse played downright bad last week against Liberty on offense. Now they must face a team that put up 79 points in their season debut against Howard.

The good news: the Orange have a tremendous defense. If the offense can help this week that have a chance to beat a talented Maryland squad. Being this is a road game and the crowd will once again not be in Syracuse’s favor, it should be another tough atmosphere to play in especially for a quarterback in Tommy Devito who is in his second career start.

My gut tells me this game is a toss-up the Orange will lose on the road. But for the sake of this prediction, I going to say the Orange win, by a hair. Maryland will play well, in what actually turns into a shootout of sorts, but Syracuse will keep up and get the last shot and score. (Think Clemson game last year except the Orange win this time) I see the Orange winning 34-31.
