Syracuse Football remains on the road in Week 2. Here are the best bets for their game vs Maryland and the rest of college football this weekend.

After a shut out against Liberty, the Syracuse football squad moved up in the AP poll for Week 2 and now sit at No. 21 in the country; however, the odd makers to be were not as impressed.

Syracuse opened up as a favorite against the Maryland Terrapins (-4 points) but are sitting as two-point underdogs to a Terrapins team that beat the Howard Bison 79-0 to open the season.

Both defenses were ready for their season openers pitching shutouts. Maryland’s offense was the one that clicked more than the Syracuse offense. Former Virginia Tech quarterback Josh Jackson looked impressive with four touchdown passes in a single half of playing time.

So what about the best pets in this Week 2 contest?

Well, lets recap last week first. Last week I took the Orange -19 at -105 and took that one all the way to the bank. The Orange offense might have stumbled, but the defense I said might just be the best we have seen in a “long time,” and I will double down and say this century and they came up huge.

The defense had help from a methodical running game against the Flames. The rushing attack generated a trio of touchdowns with 192 yards. Moel Neal, Abdul Adams, and Jarveon Howard all hit pay dirt in Virginia and have a chance to do it once again in Maryland.

Two teams facing off with gifted running games and smothering defenses have me running for the under of 58.5 posted by Bovada. Expect a fastmoving game with both teams looking to establish the run, especially the Orange. So take the under at -110 and take it to the bank again.

Recapping my bets from Week 1, I am a modest 3-2.

My mistake on not expecting Alabama to have a really slow start to their game against Duke and expecting the Blue Devils to score more than three points with an injured Crimson Tide defensive front.

My other loss I will not apologize for.

Justin Herbert, a top NFL prospect in 2020 and Oregon Ducks offense could do nothing against Auburn in the second half and the Pac-12 laid another clunker in a big non-conference showdown,

YET that was all expected and still set this pick up as a winner! With less than 10 seconds left the Tigers were in field goal range to win the game 23-21 and Oregon covering, that Bo Nix stole money from all of us. The freshman quarterback was playing ok in his debut before he blindly chucked a touchdown pass from 26 yards out to Seth Williams with nine seconds left stealing money from all of us on our first bad beat of the season.

So now that I have that out of my system, and you know the under is my one Syracuse pick but here are my other college football best bets of Week 2:
