1. This game is a HUGE deal for the Orange and it is a home primetime game, is it that big of a deal to Clemson?

“It’s absolutely a big test for Clemson early on. The Tigers will have their ACC opener to begin the season against Georgia Tech at home on a Thursday night and then will host Texas A&M the following week.

The Syracuse game will be the first time that this team goes on the road and it’s going to be on national television. Syracuse has been the one team in the ACC to consistently challenge Clemson over the past few seasons. It’s something about that Dino Babers offense and the way that the Orange have played that has just kept the games extremely competitive.

Syracuse beat the Tigers the last time that Clemson was up in the Carrier Dome and the Orange could have very well beaten Clemson again in Death Valley this past year if Chase Brice doesn’t step up and play the way he did in the fourth quarter the last time these two teams matched up. Clemson typically isn’t playing its best football early in the season, either, which certainly adds a little bit of intrigue to this matchup.”
