The Syracuse basketball squad and the Pitt Panthers are scheduled to play a third time in the ACC Tournament. How will this play out? We discuss.

After enjoying a single bye as the No. 6 seed in the ACC Tournament it’s time for the Syracuse basketball squad to open things up against the Pitt Panthers. The Panthers won their initial ACC Tournament matchup 80-70 to beat the Boston College on Tuesday evening.

Syracuse has played Pitt two times prior this season and won both matchups by a combined 20 points. This Panthers team experienced a 13 game losing streak (losing to Syracuse twice during that stretch), but have won their last two games.

While the Orange are still licking their wounds after losing four out of their last five games to end the regular season. But that’s the past, this is the present, and Syracuse wants to go to the NCAA tournament in the future. If they want to secure their place, one more win should be able to do it.
