2. Frank Howard is back

Gosh, I’ve been waiting to say that all season.

After missing four games early in the year, for the first time confidently this season we can say Frank Howard is back. And he couldn’t have picked a better time then right now.

Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim agreed saying Syracuse wouldn’t have won this game vs Pitt without Frank.

He dropped 15 points and that really came in an important stretch. 10-of-15 of those points came in the second half including back-to-back long range connections on a late 16-5 run and Pitt never could recover.

Last season for the Orange, it was a miraculous leap for Howard. In his sophomore campaign he averaged a measly five points per game, in his junior season he tripled that scoring output to 15 a night.

While Tyus Battle continues to be the main facilitator (led the team again in assists with five), it’s so important to get that scoring from Frank.
