The Syracuse basketball team completed the season sweep of the Pittsburgh Panthers on Saturday night, here are the top five takeaways.

Get out the brooms y’all because the Syracuse basketball squad just notched their first SWEEP of the season with their 65-56 win over the Pitt Panthers. The Orange also beat Pitt earlier this season by a count of 74-63 at the Carrier Dome.

This game on Saturday night though had a different path, albeit it with the same ending. This trip to Pittsburgh completed one of the toughest stretches of the season for Syracuse. The Orange had an unusual three game road trip that doesn’t usually occur in the ACC.

Despite a rough start that saw Syracuse blown out at Blacksburg vs VA Tech, Syracuse bounced back with two straight victories over Pitt and the Boston College Eagles. The latest outing puts Syracuse at the halfway mark of conference play, believe it or not.

What position has Syracuse put themselves in? Who was most responsible for this win at the Petersen Events Center? Are the Orange a tournament team? All of those questions are answered in our top-five takeaways from this SU victory over the Panthers here.
