Despite the snowy conditions, there’s a basketball game being played in the Carrier Dome on Saturday between Pitt and the Syracuse basketball squad.

The Syracuse basketball squad is coming off of a momentous win vs the previously ranked No. 1 Duke Blue Devils. Very surprising to say the least, especially coming off of a lackluster showing vs Georgia Tech prior to that contest.

Syracuse can’t pat themselves on the back long because they welcome in a competent ACC foe on Saturday in the Carrier Dome when the Pitt Panthers come to town. This isn’t the 0-18 winless conference Panthers coming in like last season, this team is led by first-year head coach Jeff Capel formerly of Duke.

An identity has been established and this team already has two more conference wins and four more overall wins than the entire team had in 2017-18. The Pitt Panthers themselves are coming off a pretty impressive feat where they beat previously ranked No. 11 Florida State handily: 75-62.
