Syracuse Basketball: Predictions for St. Bonaventure showdown

Prediction: Syracuse wins 68-60

The Orange have had an entire week to prepare for this week’s matchup against the St. Bonaventure Bonnies. Will it prove to be an advantage for Syracuse?

They are taking on a 4-8 St. Bonaventure team that is very beatable this Saturday. But the Bonnies are still capable of upsetting the Orange this season inside the Carrier Dome despite their lack of wins so far.

Defense will be what gives St. Bonaventure a chance on Saturday, but it won’t be enough to defeat Syracuse. Especially since the Orange will be out to avenge their surprising loss to the Bonnies last season.

Syracuse also has a talented defense this season and it is what will prove to be the deciding factor on Saturday. The Orange will frustrate St. Bonaventure all day long with their 2-3 defense and it will lead to a number of turnovers and easy baskets.

Unlike last season, there will be no upset happening inside the Carrier Dome on Saturday.
