Syracuse Football will wrap up its season at the Camping World Bowl against West Virginia on Friday afternoon. Inside the Loud House tells you how to watch and listen to the game.

Syracuse Football is finally back to the promised land! After four straight losing seasons, the Orange are finally back in the postseason. They will take on the No. 16 West Virginia Mountaineers in the Camping World Bowl in Orlando, Florida on Friday at 5:15 p.m. ET, according to ESPN.com

The Orange following a 9-3 regular season record, and a season-ending win over Boston College 42-21 on the road, will come in ranked No. 20 in the nation, and favored to win by 1.5 points, according to ESPN.com They will bring a mostly healthy team, but will be missing starters McKinley Williams, Antwan Cordy, and Alton Robinson for personal reasons.

The Mountaineers on the other hand will be missing the likes of star quarterback Will Grier who will sit out to prepare for the NFL Draft and leading wide receiver Gary Jennings Jr. due to injury, according to YahooSports. Also sitting out will be All-Big 12 left tackle Yodny Cajuste. With these three sitting out that means the Mountaineers will have to turn to reserves to replace them. In this case that means West Virginia will play two mostly unproven quarterbacks against Syracuse.

That’s good news for the Orange as they will counter with star quarterback and fearless leader Eric Dungey who will be playing his last home game in an Orange uniform. That should hopefully lead to lots of points for the Orange.

Coming into bowl season, this game looked like a high scoring affair with Dungey and Grier going head to head. With Grier out though, that could lead to a possible blowout win for the Orange if the quarterbacks for West Virginia can’t find chemistry with their wide receivers or the Mountaineer defense can’t contain Syracuse’s versatile passing game led by Jamal Custis, Sean Riley, and Nykeim Johnson.

Normally I’d expect this to be a tough game physically for both teams as they used to be bitter rivals in the old Big East Conference, but I feel the anger and hatred this rivalry had is all but gone as these teams have not played in years. Instead, we should expect a pretty normal football game, with the real motivation and emotion coming from who wants to win more rather than wanting to destroy your rival.

As for some interesting history, the last time these two teams played each other it was in a bowl game. The Orange beat the Mountaineers in the Pinstripe Bowl 38-14 in 2012. That game was played in snow and was one for the ages. It just goes to show when these two play it’s usually good football entertainment.
