I’m going to be perfectly honest with you, right now this Syracuse basketball squad isn’t built to blow anyone out. It’s a bit of a head scratcher all things when you look at all the depth on the Orange how hard SU is struggling offensively.
I felt like the Buffalo game, with a team averaging 85 points per game, would force Syracuse to go up tempo (where I believe they’d play their best) that didn’t happen and Syracuse lost.
Jim Boeheim after the game vehemently disagreed with the notion that Syracuse has a running team and pointed to Frank Howard’s health and the inconsistencies of the big men on the roster as reasons why. But I think those are excuses, this team should be able to run and gun with the depth and athleticism they have on the squad.
With a incredibly inferior team in Arkansas State coming into the Carrier Dome and Jim Boeheim openly questioning the toughness of his team, I think the Orange respond with a dominant win.

If they don’t respond now, when will they respond? I spoke with Oshae Brissett after the latest game and suggested that players may have been looking ahead to conference play and the holidays, the way this team has been playing they aren’t ready for conference play and they better change that quick.
