Prediction: Syracuse wins 78-60

Let’s be honest. If Cuse blows this game, it’s time to look ahead at next season.

The Arkansas State Red Wolves are 5-6, with their best win coming over Florida Atlantic. They’ve lost to Eastern Illinois. They don’t have a player over 6-foot-9. Syracuse should dominate.

Ty Cockfield is the Red Wolves best player, scoring over 21 a game and averaging over 3 assists and rebounds. However, at 6-0, he might have to hit some deep ones, as all of the Cuse guards hold at least 3 inches on him.

I’d like to see the Orange work it inside and try to get Paschal Chukwu, Bourama Sidibe, or Marek Dolezaj going into ACC play. After all, if we want to go anywhere this year, we need at least one of them to step it up.

As for the guard play, I want to see Frank Howard take more control. He sort of did against Buffalo, but he needs to really become a leader, which could prove to be huge as the season rolls on.

Cuse wins easily, and gets a must needed win.
