Prediction: Syracuse wins 72-70

On Saturday, the Orange suffered their first home loss of the season to an unranked Old Dominion team. Old Dominion’s top ranked defense really flustered the Syracuse offense, which has already been struggling to score points this season.

On Tuesday against the undefeated Buffalo Bulls, the Orange should have an easier time putting points up on the scoreboard. But they will have to in order to keep up with Buffalo’s impressive offense, who are averaging 85.2 points per game this season (16th-most in the country).

If Syracuse is going to hand the Bulls their first loss of the year on Tuesday, they will have to do it with their defense. The Orange are giving up just 62.8 points per game this season and they’ll need to keep up their defensive excellence to get a win over Buffalo.

The Orange have never lost to the Bulls and that unbeaten streak will remain intact on Tuesday when Syracuse hands Buffalo their very first loss of the season.
