Mat Mlodzinski (5-2)
Prediction: Syracuse wins 77-58

At first glance this looks like it should be an easy win for the Orange. While I don’t necessarily disagree with this, Northeastern does boast a win over Alabama, so Syracuse can’t overlook them.

The 2-3 zone is always key to these games – mid majors RARELY see zones this good and this long, especially in conference games. This will be the key for the Orange defensively.

Offensively, Tyus Battle and Oshae Brissett look to continue from their big games in the win over Cornell. I also look for Frank Howard to start adding a good amount of points, something he’s yet to do since returning from injury.

Overall, it should be an easy win for the Orange. Other than occasional hiccups (cough, cough, long 3’s that Northeastern won’t ever make again), Cuse will be 6-2 with a game on Saturday against Georgetown.
