Prediction: Syracuse wins 86-59

The Orange have been a very different team ever since senior point guard Frank Howard returned to the lineup a little over a week ago.

During the two games since Howard’s return, Syracuse has seen a great improvement in their shooting percentage (especially from the outside), while their opponents have experienced a decrease in their amount of shots made.

The Orange are starting to look like the talented team that many believed they could be this season. With another win on Saturday, it shouldn’t surprise many if Syracuse is able to climb back into the top 25 rankings next week.

For Saturday, the Orange will be taking on the Cornell Big Red inside the Carrier Dome. So far this season, Cornell has won four of their seven games.

The Big Red have only defeated one team with a winning record this season and they recently suffered a 91-74 thrashing at the hands of UConn on November 20. Some major shenanigans would have to go down on Saturday in order for Syracuse to get upset by Cornell.

Never say never, but a win over the Big Red seems very likely for the Orange.
