Prediction: Syracuse wins 31-23

What a season it has already been for the Syracuse football program. Eight wins, a national ranking for the past four weeks, and a spot in a bowl game already locked up for the future.

Win or lose on the road against the Boston College Eagles on Saturday, the Orange can still look back and know that they were successful in 2018.

Of course, a victory over Boston College would make Syracuse’s current season that much sweeter. However, the Orange getting a win this week is not going to be easy.

The Eagles are having an impressive 2018 themselves. Currently 7-4, Boston College was the No. 17 team in the nation as recently as two weeks ago.

Leading the way for the Eagles this season is their rushing attack on offense. Boston College running back AJ Dillon has already rushed for 1,052 yards and 10 touchdowns this year and he’ll be looking to add to his totals on Saturday against Syracuse.

Holding the Eagles to under 130 rushing yards seems to be the key to beating them this season. Boston College has yet to win a game this year when they have failed to gain more than 130 yards on the ground.

If the Orange can accomplish this and attack the Eagles with their own impressive rushing offense, then they should be able to finish the season off with a win.
