Syracuse Football: Predictions for season finale vs Boston College

Prediction: Syracuse wins 38-31

This game should be close no matter who is at QB. Syracuse’s offense will be able to score, but BC can also put up points due to their impressive run game.

The Orange will HAVE to stop AJ Dillon on the ground. This has been a trouble area for Cuse most of the season, so Dillon will probably run for at least 100 yards. Regardless, it will be the point of emphasis on defense.

Defensively, BC is not as impressive as they have been in past years. The Eagles have held Clemson, NC State, and Virginia Tech to all under 30 points. However, they gave up 34 to Wake Forest and 35 to temple. Those games happened earlier in the season, but it does show that Syracuse should be able to score some points.

The game will really come down to if Eric Dungey will be available at QB, and if he is, how effective will he be. Tommy DeVito should be able to play well after a full week of practice preparing to start. However, Dungey would be preferable against a solid BC defense. I see an Orange win in the end, giving them a shot at a 10 win season.
