Prediction: Syracuse wins 84-65

After two straight losses last week, the Orange are now an unranked team. Syracuse will get a chance to recover on Wednesday at home against the Patriot League’s Colgate Raiders.

Coming into their matchup with Syracuse, Colgate has won four of their first five games this season. So any hopes the Orange had of Wednesday’s contest being a cakewalk is likely not going to happen.

One thing going for Syracuse is that the Raiders are not shooting that great from the outside this season. Colgate is making just 34.3 percent from three-point range in 2018-19, so getting burned from deep should not be something the Orange have to worry about.

This is a game where Syracuse needs to get back on track. They need to focus on pushing the ball up the court more and getting easy baskets.

There were too many times during their losses last week where the guys on the floor were just settling for quick three-point attempts instead of trying to get the ball inside for higher percentage shots.

Wednesday’s matchup does have a small potential for an upset, but the Orange should be able to do what is necessary to come out with a win.
