Prediction: Syracuse wins 77-44

Syracuse is looking to get back to their winning ways Wednesday night when they welcome in CNY rival Colgate. On the season, SU is 2-2 and is coming off of one of the worst stretch of performances in the Jim Boeheim era during the course of their losses to Oregon and UConn.

Frankly, I put about 50% of the blame for those games on Boeheim, who just REFUSES to run an offense and was standing on the sidelines with his arms folded looking perplexed. Another 40 percent blame goes on the players.

Oshae Brissett played his two worst games in a Syracuse uniform, and I’d rather watch paint dry than see him chuck up more than 4 three-pointers in a game. The other 10 percent were factors not in Syracuse’s control, the other teams played well and the officials did not give Syracuse much love.

But I am being brutally honest here, this team is playing with ZERO passion, and not as a cohesive unit. They are not sharing the ball and despite the fact that they are without Frank Howard, they still need to find a way to distribute the rock a little bit. All in all I’m very disappointed in the coaching staff, players, and program to start this season. There is a long ways to go, but I think people need to tamper their expectations on where this season can go. Despite all of this, there is no way they lose to Colgate, Orange win 77-44.
