Syracuse Basketball Vs. Uconn: Where To Watch & Listen (TV/Radio Info)

Syracuse Basketball plays their third game of the season against the Connecticut Huskies Thursday night. Inside the Loud House gets you ready with what you need to know to be able to watch and listen to the game.

Syracuse Basketball is finally back after a few days off and will play in Madison Square Garden Thursday night against the Connecticut Huskies. The game which is part of the 2K Empire Classic at Madison Square Garden, according to Syracuse.com, will see the winner take on the victor of the Iowa/Oregon game in the final tomorrow.

The Orange come into this game winning handily versus Eastern Washington in the season opener before fighting off a scrappy Morehead State team last week. The Orange looked in control in both games, but the the the most recent definitely made fans feel uneasy.

The Syracuse faithful hope Senior point guard Frank Howard can return Thursday night to right the ship. That hope is reflected in Inside The Loud House’s predictions this week with all our experts predicting the Orange will win.

The Orange however know this is not just another game on the schedule. They will be meeting a familiar foe Thursday night when they face old Big East rival Connecticut. The Uconn Huskies have played the Orange a couple of times in recent years since the Orange left the ACC and the Huskies went to the American Athletic Conference. Though the games have lacked the fire, passion, and heat that they used to, that is not to say there hasn’t been some close games.

In the last couple years since the conference realignment, the Orange have gone 2-2 versus the Huskies per Orangehoops.org. Of those four games, the last two games have been played at Madison Square Garden with the Orange splitting the two. The Orange won last years matchup as part of the Jimmy V Classic which was close throughout. Luckily, the Orange pulled away at the end with a victory, 72-63.

In 2016, the Orange lost a shoulda, woulda, coulda game, 50-52, as part of the Tire Pros Classic. However the year before that, the Orange won a thriller 79-76 in the Battle for Atlantis. Those games were a little more tense and gave Syracuse and UConn fans flashbacks of the Six Overtime game which the Orange won 127-117 in the 2009 Big East tournament. When these two clubs meet Thursday night at 7 p.m. We know it’s always going to be good basketball. The Syracuse Basketball squad comes in undefeated at 2-0 and holding a #15 national ranking. UConn may not be ranked but have looked sharp in their two wins over Morehead State and UMKC to open the season per ESPN.com.

Both teams are very talented with tons of scoring potential, so it should be a great game as always. Here’s hoping its get heated and tense like the old days and gives us another thriller like we’ve come to expect as of late.
