Prediction: Syracuse wins 77-64

The Syracuse basketball squad was tested in it’s last game against Morehead State and that will turn out to be a good things versus the Connecticut Huskies.

The Huskies can really score and are a pretty decent team. They are scrappy, much like Morehead State and can really score. They don’t have nearly as much experience as this Orange team and that will help in the end for the Orange.

I see the key difference in this game will be the 2-3 zone. UConn doesn’t face that type of zone as much (or at least as good as the Orange) at all since the ole Big East days. That should cause UConn’s offense to stall a little at times due to Syracuse’s pressure and ferocious defense led by Oshae Brissett.

The Orange offense may struggle again in this one until they have a true point guard play meaningful minutes leading the team. However the defense should create enough turnovers to frustrate and outlast the Huskies in Madison Square Garden. High point man should once again be Oshae Brissett who just looks great so far this year. Look for him to continue to shine in the Mecca of Basketball in NYC under the bright lights.
