Syracuse Basketball: Predictions for contest vs. UConn
The Syracuse basketball team makes their annual trip to Madison Square Garden. They’ll play an old Big East Foe in the UConn Huskies.
Does anyone remember that magical Matthew Moyer 18 point and eight board performance out of nowhere vs UConn last season? No? Okay then. But in all seriousness that was a crazy game last season and now the Orange can get a winning streak going vs the Huskies for the first time in the last five years.
This is a huge step up in competition for all involved and the biggest storyline for the Orange is the point guard situation. Will Frank Howard play? He’s questionable for the contest, which is slightly positive news from the things we had been hearing on the subject.
This Orange team hasn’t looked like themselves with Tyus Battle operating the point, no offense to Tyus, it just isn’t his natural position. The defense has been hot and cold, mostly hot, and we’ll see if that’s the tell tale for this contest against a hot UConn offense.
In this 2K Classic Syracuse plays UConn, the winners play the winners and the losers play the losers of the Oregon vs Iowa game on Friday evening. But before we get there, here’s our expert panel sees this game playing out.
