"Regardless of whether or not it’s Book or Wimbush under center, the Notre Dame offense is going to move the ball against the Orange D. Turnovers could play a part, but aside from that, there’s no reason the Irish can’t put up at least 31 points. On the flip side, Syracuse is going to move the ball and score as well. I’m just not sure they will be able to do so at the same pace as the Irish. I see the Notre Dame defensive line forcing to scramble a lot on would-be passing downs. When he does so, Notre Dame’s linebacking corps is athletic enough to limit any real damage. Additionally, the Orange receivers will have a tough time getting open consistently against the Irish secondary. I see Notre Dame winning this one, something in the neighborhood of 38-24."
