Prediction: Syracuse wins 72-45

The last time these two teams faced off, the Orange walked away with a 41-point victory over Morehead State. Now, that matchup took place more than 30 years ago, but a similar result should be in store for Saturday night.

Syracuse is coming off a 66-34 win over Eastern Washington in their 2018-19 regular season opener on Tuesday. During the victory, the Orange played excellent on defense and dominated inside the paint.

For their second matchup of the season, Syracuse will be taking on a Morehead State team that just suffered a 80-70 loss to UConn on Thursday. The Orange’s opponent on Saturday is coming off a 2017-18 campaign in which they finished with an 8-21 record and the school has finished with winning record just once since the 2014-15 season.

With Syracuse’s roster continuing to get healthier, this doesn’t figure to be that competitive of a game. Expect Orange sophomore forward Oshae Brissett to continue putting on a show on Saturday night and for guys like Buddy Boeheim, Elijah Hughes, and Tyus Battle to rebound from forgettable shooting performances during the season opener against Eastern Washington.
