The Syracuse basketball team opens their 2018-19 regular season against the Eastern Washington Eagles on Tuesday inside the Carrier Dome.

The time has finally come for the Syracuse basketball team to play some meaningful games once again.

For the past two weeks, the Orange have been participating in exhibition matchups. But on Tuesday, Syracuse will take the court inside the Carrier Dome for their first official non-conference game of the 2018-19 season against the Eastern Washington Eagles.

Expectations are high for the Orange this season and they should be. Their top three scorers from a Sweet 16 run 2017-18 are returning to the team this season along with a handful of other experienced members of their roster.

Along with their returning players, Syracuse has a bunch of new talent on their roster this season that includes freshman Buddy Boeheim (related to some legendary coach or something) and junior transfer Elijah Hughes. Both Boeheim and Hughes are talented three-point shooters and could add another element to the Orange offense this season.

Syracuse’s first test of their 2018-19 will come against Eastern Washington, a team that hasn’t finished a season with a losing record since the 2013-14 season.

When the Orange eventually take the court on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET, how does the staff here at Inside The Loud House think their season-opening matchup against the Eagles will turn out?
