The staff here at Inside The Loud House has their predictions for the Syracuse basketball team and their chance at success during the upcoming season.

Other than the actual team and a handful of fans, almost no one saw it coming when the Syracuse basketball team made it all the way to the Sweet 16 round of last season’s NCAA Tournament.

But they did and the majority of the players that helped them get there are back for the 2018-19 season to help the Orange get even farther into the NCAA Tournament.

Hitting the floor again for Syracuse this season will be senior guard Frank Howard, sophomore forward Oshae Brissett, and junior guard Tyus Battle. This group of players all ranked among the Orange’s top three scorers in 2017-18.

Combine these three with some key reserves like sophomores Howard Washington and Marek Dolezaj and newcomers like freshman Buddy Boeheim and junior transfer Elijah Hughes and this season’s Syracuse squad has the opportunity to make some serious moves this season.

Already considered among the top 20 teams in college basketball right now, will the Orange see their ranking move up as the season goes along? Is it possible that Syracuse could even capture their first national title for the first time since the magical 2002-03 season?

The Orange certainly have the talent to compete with the top teams around the nation this season. Getting wins in some of their tougher matchups will reveal just how much of a shot Syracuse actually has at winning a championship.

In an effort to try and predict how the upcoming season will turn out for the Orange, the staff here at Inside The Loud House has come together to guess how successful Syracuse will be in 2018-19. Spoiler alert, at least one of our writers believes the Orange will be cutting down the nets in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the end of the season.
