Syracuse Football: Wake Forest football gameday prediction
Paul A. Esden Jr. (Co-Site Expert) 6-2
Prediction: Syracuse wins 49-32
I claim to be an eternal optimist, but I didn’t know when I was going to be able to celebrate bowl eligibility with four games left in a Syracuse football season, but here we are.
It’s a great feeling for this community after everything they’ve been through in the 21st century and folks it’s going to keep getting better.
Syracuse Orange
The team is also ranked for the first time since 2001 and ranked in the College Football Playoff for the first time in history, so in other words it’s a pretty cool feeling to be relevant.
If Syracuse likes that feeling then they better keep winning.
This next game I’m circling in every different color pen I have, this is a pinnacle moment in the Dino Babers experience. Is this team for real?
If they’re they won’t lose to a 4-4 Wake Forest team. This team is capable, especially when you take a hard look at their running game which has dynamic potential and the Syracuse run defense… well you know that story.
Beyond the Eric Dungey coming out party last week, I really enjoyed the dynamic play calling, that needs to continue to put Dungey in a great position to succeed.
I’m going to predict an emphatic Syracuse victory and that’s significant on multiple fronts: the Orange can win a November game for the first time in Babers’ reign here at Syracuse and more importantly a conference road game and it’s been a while since we’ve seen that. Give me Syracuse 49-32 in an old western shootout with the more experienced passer winning the duel.
