Can the Syracuse football team figure out how to close a football game? Our staff gives their best guess heading into a critical Week 7 matchup vs UNC.

It’s been two weeks since we’ve seen the Syracuse football squad lineup. Some have suggested that the bye week timing sucked because the Orange want to get back out there. While others have said perfect timing because Syracuse needs to simmer on this loss so they can reassess.

Wherever you stand, gameday is finally here (well a day early). To be honest, it doesn’t matter who the Orange are playing, they just can’t beat themselves. They’ve proven so far this season that they can beat anyone when playing right. Look no further than the Clemson game.

So with that knowledge, the Orange should attack the second half of this season with relentless aggression. The latest opponent on the platter are the Tar Heels of North Carolina. This team has won just a single game this season and that was by a field goal.

Syracuse is markedly better than this team. Now it’s time to prove it. You could argue Syracuse was markedly better than Pitt, but it didn’t matter two weeks ago. As we do every week here’s what our staff thinks about the latest game for Syracuse.
