Syracuse Football: Clemson football gameday prediction

Not only is the Syracuse football undefeated streak on the line on Saturday… my undefeated picking streak is also on the line. So safe to say, really big stakes here.

Syracuse will be looking to shock the world again but both teams are vastly different this time around. The Orange are without some of their biggest stars on offense and defense: Steve Ishmael, Erv Philips, Zaire Franklin, and Parris Bennett. These guys made huge impacts in the game last year and now the Orange will have to try and do the impossible without them.

Clemson has a new quarterback who is making his first career start. While he’s certainly talented, he’s still a true freshman and a lot of analysts have tried to downplay that because of his talent, maturity, and limited gameplay experience this season. I think his inexperience the Orange defense can take advantage of it.

Syracuse should blitz early and often and really test whether Trevor Lawrence has that it factor. I think Syracuse executes that gameplan and comes away with the most improbable win in history and takes out Clemson again. I’ll take Syracuse 35-33 over the Clemson Tigers.
