Clemson wins 30-21.

It has been a great season for Syracuse so far. But on Saturday, they will face their toughest opponent yet.

Are the Orange capable of rolling into Clemson this weekend and finding a way to defeat the Tigers? Of course. But will Syracuse end up getting a win over Clemson on Saturday? Probably not.

The Tigers are very talented on both sides of the ball and their offense should be able to exploit some of the Orange’s weaknesses on defense this weekend.

Clemson will be starting freshman Trevor Lawrence under center on Saturday, so it’s possible Syracuse could actually take advantage of his inexperience this week. But based on Lawrence’s play so far this season, his lack of experience likely won’t be too big of a factor.

Last year, the Orange benefited from playing in front of a raucous home crowd inside the Carrier Dome. On Saturday, Syracuse will have to try and get a win inside the Tigers’ home stadium.

Clemson Memorial Stadium has a capacity of over 80,000 and after the Orange upset the Tigers last season, you can bet on the Clemson fans packing their home stadium full this weekend.

The crowd noise, the playmakers the Tigers have on offense, and their impressive defense will ultimately prove to be too much for Syracuse to overcome. Meaning Saturday will end with the Orange suffering their first loss of the season.
